The Principle of Compassion is central to all religious, ethical and spiritual traditions.  It is practical Compassion that is the driving spiritual force in the international movement for Marriage Equality.

Please take a moment to watch this short video and consider Compassion and its role in your own religious, spiritual and ethical system.

What makes a Marriage?

On your wedding day you make a commitment to each other, in the presences of your family, friends and society. In your vows you promise:

"I will be there with and for you, come what may."

This is the greatest gift you can bestow, or receive, in this life. You encourage, strengthen, help and challenge each other. You help each other reach your potential. You anticipate each other’s needs, even before they are spoken.

Marriage means: I am with you, I am for you, I love you for who you are and support your development. I place your needs, hopes & dreams on par with and often above my own: I love you.

What greater happiness is there for two people than to feel that they are joined together to strengthen each other in all labor, to comfort each other in all sorrow, to share with each other in all joys, to be one with each other in the still of their hearts?
What is Marriage Equality?

Marriage Equality means that all people, regardless of their orientation, may participate in the legal and social institution of marriage.

Marriage Equality makes our society healthy and whole. It replaces fear and hatred with trust and love, it is about Human Dignity.
